The fact that the club fans use Chelsea chants as there own should say they are mainly Chelsea fans... although I am sure there are fans of every club in that city.
The Indian FA have received interest from the southern region, with one already having made a bid…
A club from the southern region has already made a formal bid to be a part of the I-League 2014-15 season.
“Yes, there has been an official bid being made already from southern India,” informed Kushal Das, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary to Goal.
The AIFF had invited bids from clubs and entities to participate in the nation’s top division league. The deadline set for submission of bids was set to June 2 but was extended until the end of last month.
However two more parties have requested the Indian FA to extend the closing date as they are in the process of reviewing the bid document.
“There are a couple of clubs who have requested us whether the deadline could be extended for a week. I have asked them to send a formal letter and if they are serious about it, then we can consider. These two clubs have bought the bid document. We have appointed Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) for this and if they approve, we can extend deadline. One wants to set-up a team from north India and the other team is also from south.”
