the rumours of Mumbai cty fc amd MFC being merged into one has been colled for now... lets see how this thing shapes up...
for now cooperage would be an excellent option for MFC and mumbai city could create a team in i-league with 4 of best affordable foreigner in current team moved to i-league team is quite possible and they play their team in DY patil
DY Patil would be rubbish for I-League. I doubt Mumbai City could pull in the same crowds they do for ISL... maybe a game or two but then from there it is down hill.
With no team other than the new pune side expected to join this season we may not need to worry about how MCFC will perform in attracting fans goes... as the merger seems less likely...
within 16-18 months they might well setup a platform for them to work on a dedicated fan base who supports the club rather than of particular players of former glory... more like Bengaluru hopefully
Bhowanipore FC ?? wow some clubs never learn to improve... when will we see the players of some good quality playing in i-league's recognised clubs like MB EB??
I have heard of how an iranian player who just played WC was playing in one of kolkatta club... now it seems such day could never return
those days were days where foreign students who were studying in India and playing well at collage level was supported and signed by big clubs some of them went to become full internationals for there country.
