That means Sandesh remains unemployed for the rest of the season and will become unfit with the course of time, it was better if he could have joined a Indian side for the rest of the season any try abroad next season.
Sandesh still has a chance to get a club in the US or perhaps some other Scandinavian team. I mean, there was an American defender who last played in the US 4th Division and the Finnish league who just signed for IK Start in Norway!
I mean, if this guy can do it then Sandesh Jhingan should be able to get a spot somewhere!!!
You guys all think Sandesh is a lot better tjan he is... at his age and with his playing experience...he cannot afford to lose out on 6months of not playing / developing.
He had a good ISL...but so did Gouramangi....but the low pressure defending...helped them have time on the ball...and having good players around them masked their weaknesses. Gouramangi has been poor for Bharat FC...and Sandesh is a million miles away from playing 2nd tier of European or US football
Sandesh keeps Euro dream on hold, to join Sporting Marcus Mergulhao,Feb 2, 2015, 02.57AM IST
Margao: Sandesh Jhingan has kept his European dream on hold and opted to play for Sporting Clube de Goa in the I-League for the remainder of the season. The highly-rated Kerala Blasters defender, among the most promising footballers in India at the moment, had evoked strong interest from European clubs, thanks to his impressive performances in the Indian Super League (ISL). But the Chandigarh-born youngster discovered that most of the invites for trials from Europe -- Spain, Denmark, Turkey and Switzerland -- were too close to the transfer window which shuts on Tuesday. "Sandesh is headed to Sporting Clube till the end of season. Should there be an offer of trials from a foreign club during this season, Sandesh will consider it but it looks more than likely that trials will happen only in July during pre-season," said Anuj Kichlu, CEO of The Football Edge, the company that represents the player. Sandesh, 22, will join another ISL star at Sporting Clube and will partner NorthEast United FC's Portuguese defender Miguel Garcia at the back. He is understood to have turned down offers from I-League champions Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan. Sandesh was voted the Emerging Player of the Year by the All India Football Federation and ISL's Emerging Star. The news of Sandesh's signing will be welcome by Sporting supporters as the team's lack of maturity in defence has been left exposed in their last two I-League goals where they have conceded five goals. "Sandesh proved to everyone what a wonderful defender he can be when competing at a high level. He will have Miguel Garcia for company and we hope the pair remains unbeatable at Sporting Clube," said one senior Sporting official. The Kerala Blasters defender is expected to arrive in Goa on Wednesday and complete the signing formalities the same day. He should be available for Sporting Clube's next I-League clash against Mumbai FC at the Cooperage in Mumbai on Sunday.
