    Ranjan Chowdhury is the coach (not the ex-TFA man). As far sponsors, they have (?) Shree Venkatesh Films as their sponsor. They are supposed to have the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium as their base and probably train there.

    TA a la United SC doesn't have any supporter base but they are an excellent platform for upcoming talented youth to showcase their talent in front of live television audience and move up in career.

    Sikkim Premier League
    Gangtok FC defeats SAI Namchi

    Gangtok FC overcame SAI Namchi 1-0 on Monday with striker Suman Rai scoring the all important goal in the 6th minute. With this win, Gangtok FC has four points from two matches while SAI Namchi is yet to record a point having lost its both matches.

    Tomorrow, United Sikkim takes on defending champion Sikkim Himalayan SC. Time 3 pm.

    The Goa Police Cup, state's oldest football tournament, which was last held in 2010, has been revived after a gap of five years.

    The tournament first started in 1968 and this edition will comprise 12 teams from Goa's Professional League and First Division vying for top honours.

    Addressing a press conference, Sunil Garg, Inspector of General Police said the tournament, which has been revived after a gap of five years will be held regularly and will commence on August 1, 2015 and played at four different venues namely Duler Stadium, Mapusa, Tilak Stadium, Vasco, Cuncolim ground and Navelim ground.

    The inaugural match will be held at Duler Stadium, Mapusa while the closing venue is not decided, most likely it will be held in South Goa.

    The winners will get a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, while the runners-up will get Rs 1 lakh.

    The teams consists of Dempo FC, Salgaocar FC, Sporting Clube de Goa, Churchill Brothers, Vasco SC, Tuff Laxmi Prasad, Guardian Angels SC, Goa Police, Curtorim Gymkhana, Calangute SC, Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim and Goa Velha.
