A DYNAMIC MARKETING STRATEGY BY THE GOAN I-LEAGUE PLAYING CLUBS
It is indeed a great initiative of the I-league playing clubs of Goa. Dempo Sports Club, Salgaocar Sports Club and Sporting Clube De Goa to come forward and promote I-league 2014-15 with a specific strategy.
The main target of these clubs is to increase the number football fanatics at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium during the I-league which will going to start from the 18th of January.
In a joint meeting of the Club owners, Shrinivas Dempo (Dempo Sports Club President), Shivanand Salgaocar (Salgaocar FC President), Peter Vaz (Sporting Clube de Goa President) along with Elvis Gomes, the President Goa Football Association, a marketing promotion plan for the I league being declared.
The promotion plan includes hoardings, cut out of the footballers, banners and leaflets and the easy availability of the match tickets. The highlights of the marketing plans are: The players cut outs will be place in the traffic islands in the major cities of Goa. Road shows will be performed by the respective clubs before the day of the match and also on the match day.
*.Banners of the I league will be displayed all along Goa including the villages.
*.Ticket of the matches will be available well in advance in various outlets of major towns and villages, stadium box offices which will be branded with the I league signage.
*.The prices of the tickets are quite economical and is affordable by all. The prices of the North , South and East Stands of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium are only Rs 50, while the West stands tickets are priced at Rs 100. There will be arrangement for tickets in the Air Conditioned hospitality boxes.
*.The captains and coaches of Dempo [Clifford Miranda and Arthur Papas], Salgaokar [Rocus Lamare and Derrick Pereira] and Sporting Clube [Anthony Wolfe and Mathew Costa] were present in the joint meeting.
This was back in May 2014, I bet the rules have since become a lot more lax. You still can't have 4 foreigners without one of them being Asian and the other a marquee (or both) but you can still play without a marquee player.
Whatever... just means that some teams will be down a foreigner... sucks for them.
Sporting again showed why they are getting no fans and no sponsors. Simply due to their unprofessional behaviour.
SCdeGoa officially release Kofi. Fuddu clubs and fuddu management. BC aise club toh band kar dene chahiye. Agar player nahi aacha laga toh pehle hi sign nahi karwate. This is only gonna add to other players insecurities. Remember, if they are always under stress that they may lose their job, then how can they perform. Give him some time at least.
At least, this sort of bullshit is not there in ISL
"The defender, who represented Bidvest Wits in last year's top tier league in South Africa, is furious over the club's move. Sources close to the player claimed that he had rejected a move to higher ranked Algeria to play in the I-League and is distraught after the club's decision."
Probably a move to a lower club in the Algerian first division... also Goa is a better place to live I bet than Algeria (unless you are the upper, upper class there).
KOFI was shit and deserved to be sacked , barely an excuse for a footballer.
SCdeGoa would be relegated with him...
As per marquee rule.....
FOUR (4) foreign players may be registered for each team after due completion of International registration formalities, of which ONE should compulsorily be a National of an Asian Country. An AIFF approved marquee player must feature among the 4 foreign players. A club can field only three foreign player if the club does not have a registered marquee player approved by AIFF in its roster. All foreign players may be listed among the eleven selected players for a match.

Secondly Wolfe has been a disaster for them. Far far away from what he played last year. Probably being a marquee getting to his head.
