Bengaluru FC to play preseason friendlies in China and Hong Kong September 20, 2014 THIF ◂ Former french International Silvestre Joins Chennaiyin FC Bengaluru FC on Saturday announced there further Preseason plans as the team is flying to Hong Kong first and then to China to play total of three friendlies against top Clubs in both countries. Bengaluru Fc will be leaving for there 2 weeks long tour on Wednesday. In Hong Kong, Bengaluru Fc will take on Hong Kong FA Cup champion, and 4 times Hong Kong Premier League side Eastern AA on September 28. In another match BFC will take on current AFC Cup semifinalist, Kitchee SC. Then, BFC will move to China to play there last match against Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F Football Club on October 9. Coach Ashley Westwood said “We are really looking forward to test ourselves in a foreign country at a different standard. We were proven and deserved champions of the I- League last season but now we are going to test ourselves at a different level. Playing some competitive games against teams from China and Hong Kong will give us an idea of how we will figure in the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup. We are really grateful to the management and the owners for supporting our view and enabling us to set the benchmark of one of the most professionally run clubs in India.”
