In 2002 world cup qualifiers match india beat uae 1-0 in bangalore....that time bichung bhutia was our only forign bases player......many years have passed now we are gona welcome oman in ourt first world cup opener...this time one indian player romeo fernandes playing for brazilian club...may be first asian playing in brazil?when we beat uae bichung was firtst asian to score in english leage?so can we expect surprise result in bangalore?can romeo make any difernce?
So Home matches against Oman and Iran in Bangalore. And Guam and Turkmenistan in Trivandrum. Expect a huge Irani support in Bangalore. I hope we can have a full house in Bangalore. Trivandrum supporters will be awesome.
We need to freeze two central midfielders, Pranoy is out as per discussion in other thread, may be Vikramjit is not getting noticed by Stefan and team and I agree he needs more experience after watching him lately. So who will be Eugenson's partner in the midfield? Khabra / Lenny /Thoi all will be good against Guam and Turk but to avoid thrashing by Iran and Oman we need someone else.
I agree with @dhritiman7 To select a balanced India squad, current form of the players is most important. Stephen has to see as many I-League matches as he can and take notes of the performers. Going by hear say and past form will be a dangerous criteria to select the NT. Alas, our parent body doesn't think in this line and can not direct Stephen to be here in India.
