The former skipper of India's national football team, Chhetri, believes India don't have an easy route to Russia 2018, has complete faith in Constantine... Sunil Chhetri, India’s record breaking national goal- scorer, has spoken about the Blue Tigers’ World Cup 2018 qualification campaign, believing India have been drawn into a ‘tough’ group. In this third and final part of an exclusive chat with Goal , Chhetri enlists the similarities and modulus operandi of his national coach Stephen Constantine, with that of his domestic coach, Ashley Westwood. But first, he spoke about how he and his ambush of Tigers planned to approach their qualification campaign. India have been drawn into group D alongside the likes of Iran, Oman, Turkmenistan and Guam respectively. “Tough, very tough. What we would like to do as a team and as a player is that we would like to be as fit as possible. For the first game, I think we're going to get 10 days because the league is finishing on the 31st (May) and we have a match on the 11th (June). Then onwards, I just hope that we get enough days to prepare. It's not going to be easy. Teams like Iran who are one of the best in Asia, Oman is one of the most improved teams in Asia - they are not going to be easy, for that matter even Turkmenistan or Guam,” revealed the 30-year-old, on team India’s group for qualifying for Russia 2018.
