Ok guys SAFF is over lets focus on future.......... Our next match is an away fixture against Iran honestly expect a loss would be good if 3-0........ next Is very important one against Turkmenistan in home but where ??? Delhi or Kerala........... later we will have to play couple of Play off matches (likely against Afghanistan,Maldives,Malaysia or Myanmar :- looks a bit tuff na) to qualify for next round nd will likely have a tuff group if we do qualify for Asian Cup qualifires since we are likely to finish at bottom of current group nd play play offs......... hard times ahead...... nd our record in Asian Qualifiers nd world cup qualifires aren't great ........ hope for best
Honestly, with the 4 point gap between us and Guam, we should pretty much accept last place. We will not beat Iran and even if we beat Turkmenistan it would only give us 6 points. Stephen Constantine has saved his job for the time being due to the SAFF Championship victory so IMO, he should use these next two games to try and maintain team moral while focusing on different ways to improve the team before the AFC Asian Cup qualifying play-offs in June, as we will probably not have many, if any, friendlies before then.
Loosing AFC play offs will be very bad for us ... if we win we will have matches till next year..... Loosing will assure that we will have only 1 or 2 international fixtures due to Crap ISL+I-league schedule
It is understood that there will be 12 team playing in the play offs of AFC2019 qualifier 3rd round. As per the calendar published by the AFC, there will be two rounds of play-off matches to determine the final eight qualifiers for the third round. But how they gonna divide this ? just wondering
When are they going to have Playoffs? Earlier reports came that it may happen in June. I-League and Fed Cup should finish in time to give proper rest to players before Playoffs. Stephen Constantine is planning long camp and break in I-League in March for two WCQ games with Iran and Turkmenistan. This will push I-league and Fed Cup into June heat and players will not get rest before playoffs. We do not need camp for these last Iran and Turkmenistan games as anyways we will finish last. Instead focus on strong preparation for Play-offs in June. We will need Rest and Camp for that provided I-league is not disrupted.
