I am always fascinated by the idea, why doesn't anyone, I mean teams with the target of exploiting the ranking system to get better ranking does not play friendlies with minnows of UEFA? Because beyond 150 all teams give you the same multiplier for opponent strength, but playing with UEFA member always gives you the better continental multiplier. Can anyone enlighten me? Or am I missing something trivial !!

For Intercontinental teams matches, continental multiplier is average of CM of continent teams belong to.  By playing team ranked below 150 in UEFA we get only 10 points more than winning against AFC team ranked below 150. Same points we can get on winning against 145th ranked AFC/African/north american team. Most of the euro team ranked below 150 are tiny nations and hardly play any friendly. We can't expect them to make trip to asia or other continents for friendly.

the continental multiplier is an average of CM for these kinds of matches I know. My question was if we are more probable to get more points. But yeah I agree about the logistics issues. That is obvious of course.

India should try to play Malaysia as their friendly canceled over North Korea. It would be better than Nepal atleast.

Kanchenjunga lies exactly on the Indo-Nepal borderline.
