Syria team impressed me. First time that Syria come this close in qualifier. Now they need to play against Australia in play offs. I dont find any chance for Syria in the play offs. Still a war torn nation coming this far is an achievement , they have to play their home matches in Malaysia far away from their home and totally different geographical area. Still they reached the play offs. No war can stop the passion, syrians proved that football prevails !!

There are stories in Europe too though? Iceland from the Euros, Liechtenstein, etc.

I bet for Syria. This time they are desperate to qualify for the world cup. It is going to be tough for Australia to overcome Syria. Mentally Syria is in the better position than the Australia. On the other side Australia first time faces the play offs since they have joined the AFC. So IMO Syria will be the 5th team from Asia who going to be qualify for the world cup.
