If Stabaek gets relegated Gurpreet should move on too. This is the time for his agent to go on overdrive. He should be able to get into a top division Scandinavian club.
very less chances of Stabaek getting relegated... they are in 13 th position and maximum needed 35 points to avoid relegation battle... 22 points out of possible 45 points ( 15 more matches)... it is not difficult for Stabaek FC..
For suppose even if they relegate,,, it is better for Gurpreet to stay in Norwegian 1st Division for one more year..... he will get great facilities, sufficient matches... also Norwegian 1st Division is one of the weakest 2nd tier league in european countries... Even if few main players stick with Stabaek, they can straight away get promoted to Tippeligaen....
trying in new Scandinavian league or club, adjusting to new training methods , pace of the game, players, opponents is not that easy... will take atleast 1 year to settle....also who will give chance for Gurpreet in top division club... that too for a non EU player...
If he is good enough, he will get through, simple as that. It's useless playing in Norway first division. Heck, Stabaek will probably release him if they get relegated.
He is out injured. So probably recuperating back home, chance to be with family etc. Plenty of players in Europe do this, though they have to keep up with the training schedule provided by the club.
Recently SC was in Norway and said that it's good to see Gurpreet training with club. This was his Facebook or Twitter. I don't understand where Sandhu is. And I think SC is giving interviews in Europe
