If they are so solvent, (and so eager to poach MB players) why couldn't they take Debjit and Pritam? And their wish of taking Sony from MB is well known. So go ahead, you brokes! Particularly when you have SEBI and Saradha as your sponsors .
Has anyone heard about any team whose annual budget is 10 crores, only wins "Utpal Ganguly" League!!
So, one can well imagine who all are involved as partners-in-crime and where/how the money is siphoned out in the name of sponsorship!!
Kalyan-Nitu-UB-Santosh deadly combination!
So, even if they Debjit-Kotal-Sony would have been interested to change colors(lets assume for argument sake), the bigger question is, would the EB officials be genuinely keen to have them onboard? Instead they would have Lobos, Joaquims, Sabeeths, Dongs of the world b'cos their "shares" in the cut money by signing these rejected players would make more "business" sense to them!
Mohun Bagan has been asked to clear dues of about 2 crore rupees including fines for non payment of salaries to Australian footballer Diamondstar and Brazilian Gustavo. The order has been sent by FIFA. In case of non payment within a couple of weeks, they face a minimum 6 points penalty in I-League to a maximum of demotion to second division.
They do have an experience of paying similar amount of money as penalty 3 to 4 years back . I just dont't remember the reason. Can anyone remind me? @Soccerlover@AKB ; can you guys help? I would be highly obliged. :-)

P.S. There is a saying by D.H. Lawrence: 'Ignore the ignorant'.
Also there is a saying "practice before you preach".
