Yep, they were the New York Cosmos but I still find "Cosmos Club" a funny name... it is like the name of some hippy weed friendly club haha
It was 1977 as well so they also had some other greats such as Giorgio Chinaglia, Carlos Alberto Torres, and Franz Beckenbauer. I love reading about this team, could have been great for US Soccer had they and the NASL not folded in 1984. They were the Guangzhou Evergrande of the 70s.
