Seriously guys. Are you really upset about this ranking? The reason we fell is because some SAFF Challenge cup wins from some years ago fell out of the equation and our two losses to the UAE in the WC qualification along with some of our recent friendly losses to higher ranked opposition have all come into the equation. There is no measure of the quality of loss, compared to the quality of the wins 2 years ago.
The important thing is that our team is improving. A few years ago, we would not have held the UAE to a 2 - 2 draw or held them to a 3 - 0 loss with a 9 man team. We wouldn't have been able to hold T&T and Guyana to close losses. This team is better than the 134th ranked team from back then, and we all know it. Yes, there is some importance to the ranking but the AIFF's focus is on improving the quality of the team, with the expectation that a ranking improvement will follow. As Somesh said, there is no real difference between 150 and 162, so fret not. I'd rather have our team lose quality games against quality opposition and continue to fall down the ranking ladder than improve our ranking by repeatedly playing other SAFF nations. That said, i am not opposed to Trojan's idea above, just because it would be an easy fix. Also, i'm looking forward to beating Malaysia twice in November. Maybe Zambia too. That'll be a boost to our December rankings.

We have really great chances ahead to make significant moves. Zambia and 2 against Malaysia. If we manage to draw Zambia and beat Malaysia on 2 occasions = INSANE JUMP!!

Zambia will be preparing for AFCON 2012 in Jan,they will most probably bring all their European based players. So a draw would be to much to ask for.
