I think EB team management is justified in fielding their reserve players in the AFC Cup match. Realistically EB do not have much chances to advance, but they do have mathematical chance of winning the I-League. So they are free to do whatever they think best for the team. As far as ACL spots are concerned....is it the responsibility of the Clubs or AIFF ?  AIFF do not see anything beyond IMG-R and how concerned they are about ACL or AFC Cup is quite evident from their intention of closing Federation Cup after 2015. For everything..... Clubs.....especially Kolkata are blamed. You depute some 3rd. grade incompetent referees match after match and the affected Coach vents out his irritation and you immediately impose a 10000/- fine on him. But some other coaches can speak out whatever they like about refereeing and get away with it.
AIFF is very strict on Licencing issues, they could throw away teams like Churchill Brothers, United SC, Rangdajied etc. etc, fine. But why they have not paid a particular Kolkata club their due of some 20 L since 2013 ? For AIFF it is always Rules are for others and for them ??? They are the rule.

Don't blame the clubs mates. AIFF do not know AFC scheduling, they don't know WC qualifier scheduling, they do not know the International Friendly dates, so they have to reschedule I-League matches. During ISL, AIFFwill never organize any International friendlies though winning some of these games would improve India's ranking. But this efficient parent body is pro active the moment you tell them that certain I-League club(s) have done this or that wrong. Immediately Sunanda Dhar & co will bring out the rule book and take immediate action. Some body needs to add an addendum to the Rule Book that INCOMPETENT or rather GOOD FOR NOTHING AIFF OFFICIALS SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF VISION AND NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

I guess EB played quite well last year when they qualified for semis. And with no chance for qualifications this year they will at least give chances to some young guns.

@AKB @sparta Any logical person would agree with you guys but not who are hell bent on finding faults in Kolkata clubs. AIFF has created this problem by squeezing I-League in a 5 month window when they knew there will be WCQs and AFC Cup matches in between. But again, they are too busy whoring around with IMG-R to even notice!

AIFF do not give importance to the National team even. So how can we expect them to give importance to AFC Cup or ACL though the Nation's pride is involved here. Any club who is playing these tournaments is representing India. A win against any foreign team is always a milestone. It doesn't make a difference whether BFC wins or EB wins, what matters is that an Indian team wins. The Club rivalry is our internal matter which always makes any domestic competition interesting and involves genuine excitement, not like some other tamasha where main point of interest is the cheer girls or film celebrities  or top industrialists (who all of a sudden has become football lovers) and of course the pilot-van named Prafooool Patel.

Maziya were lucky. .over 21 corners in the game and chance after chance missed by Persipura.
looks like they missed Lancine KONE today .

BFC need to get a win & draw in next 2 away games to get 2nd place.
