That is why I put it in quotes. Money management in terms on how much they spend on marketing and other things to increase their value and popularity. They are way ahead of the Bundesliga in that aspect.
@arsenalfan the pl got a head start thanks to all the anglophile audience where as the Germans found it the hard way due to low number of people who understand the language
Seems AIFF is not too happy with the ISL, particularly the way they have been brushed out of the scene. I think the recent meeting with the clubs was to find a way to reassert themselves. Unfortunately we will never know since @gaffertape was out of the country during that time. Sunando Dhar has apparently said that there will be only one league 3 years down the line.
Had a chat with a person in the know, ISL is bleeding profusely. The real investros behind it are looking to sell their stakes desperately
@namewtheld imgr and star pocketed all the sponsorship money. the clubs were told that they would each receive 20 crore inr from central sponsorship. They got ZILCH. The reason that was cited was that more than 160 crore was spent in up-gradation of stadiums.
@archak I believe that but I also feel you are just saying stuff now for the stake of it. Point it there is a reason why anyone looks towards the Premier League today over the Bundesliga despite the quality differences (Which, for the record, I think is overstated and the circlejerk about Germany needs to stop).
