Not that great defensively? Everybody are giving credits to him, the way he has organised his defense. Anas already on beast mode and high on confidence after playing and training under him. And if I'm not mistaken, delhi has conceded least no of goals as conpared to others. (
Stats say differently but the amount of times I have seen Riise dwell on the ball and then mispass it is countless. Defensively he can be so easily caught up.
He can be so easily caught up ) but haven't been caught up to such an extent of your thoughts. Well, today he crosses swords with one of the best attack force in super league, that's what it is to be seen today
Riise has never been the best defender, and was a left winger when he joined Liverpool (where I have followed him of course, and met him couple of times when he came back to the UK in 2012), and was sold by Benitez because his attacking output was finally not outweighing his defensive frailties.
He has done well in India, but he really hasn't been tested as much, and Mendoza on form is just about the best attacking player in the ISL and will be a true test of his (newly-found) defensive acumen.
