@atuljg Mumbai City FC signed a contract with Jabong.com who also hold the exclusive right to sell MCFC merchandise. I believe they also have other subclauses in their contract
Try to understand mate you cannot get a profit in the 1st session of the business as told by everyone it will take at least 3 years get to the break even point
In any kind of brand, it takes time for brand establishment...football club is no different... expect them to suffer with this if they are happy with just 2-3 month tournament in the future...
For people to keep keep their name in their mind, the league should have longevity.. and with the likeliness of no long term deals for players means the change of squad every alternate season and that affects hugely in establishing a fan base...
Say for example mcfc fans became fans of andre moritz or anelka and next season neither is gonna be there... so to do publicity around different stars for the clubs is costlier and comparitively less effective among the fans who are not hard core fans...
Other than Pune and Delhi, all the franchisees showed a lot of promise economically and sporting wise. Maybe, Bengaluru and Hyderabad would've done a better job. Let's wait and see what lessons they've learned from the first season.
