Last time I saw a PIFA match there were 4 guys and a dog playing around on the side but every few moments would watch the action... that to me is a real crowd.
@ArsenalFan here's my reasons why Aizawl FC / Chanmari or Dinthar would be better than Kenkre / PIFA
1. AIZAWL FC success ( read qualification) would be the perfect culmination of the efforts of the Mizorqm FA who have done a lot of very good things in the past 4-5years
2. It would have a knock on effect and spur Manipur and Assam into trying to replicate the success, just as it did with Langsnong, Rangdajied and Royal Wahingdoh in Shilling thanks to Lajong's initial success
3. With a good local club(s) to play for, you will some impressive talent from the rural areas which border Myanmar breaking through at an early age. Some of these lads are reluctant to travel out because the initial step of moving to Aizawl is daunting enough. ..let alone trying to adjuat at Chandigarh academy or Pune etc.
4.The stadiums will be packed, sponsors will come in....and the strong sense of community will have a mssive positive effect on the region. The Givt already backs the sport...and this will help improve the facilities. More turf fields, better stadiums , better hotels etc.
5. The fledgling Grassroot program trialed in this state by FIFA will get a massive shot in the arm...and hopefully serve as a lesson for other Clubs/ State Associations to follow.
6. MUMBAI already has Mumbai City FC and Mumbai FC. ..do we really need a new club like Kenkre / PIFA ckmung along and doing a Bharat FC ?!?!?
7. MUMBAI cannot support a 2nd team just yet as seen by the disparity in the Mumbai Super Division. .ONGC and Air India were poorly run clubs despite having good facilities. Mizoram has a fully functioning competitive MPL which is arguably one of the best in the country. ..televised games...sponsorship great fam support etc..all the things the I-League doesnt have !!
8. Female fans , kids and away fans...all these are a guarantee if a MIZO team qualifies...no such guarantee with Soccer Camp specialists Kenkre/ PIFA
9. I know the owners of Kenkre & PIFA..they would hardly be able to compete in the I-League financially and would have to sell their Club or part ownership. ...on the other hand the Mizo Clubs could get funded by supporters like we see in Germany.
Just to clarify: Perhaps some of the new users here might not see this but surely the vets of this forum can see that I am just being stupid and joking about Kenkre and PIFA... you guys know me well enough that I don't want them up... I think I also said that Aizawl is my choice for promotion realistically.
@gaffertape Thanks mate for the 10 points... #10 is what convinced me.

@gaffertape@mizo I am interested to know litte more on this point , if true that will be one interesting thing to happen in indian football
@shankar That used to happen in Kolkata clubs before Mallaya moved it, specially in East Bengal who didnt have a billionaire president like Mr.Bose.
@Gaffertape You made fair points, go Aizwal FC!!! But to spread the game, I would have still rooted for Lonestar.
Btw, wasnt Mohd Sporting and United Sports club banned from AIFF tourneys, how come they have popped up again? Also, though Mohd. Sporting have a dedicated pan India fan base but they wont get sponsors so their survivality is always doubtful.
@EastBengalPride Mohammedan are just playing I-league 2 to show they are alive and active and to keep anti club people like @Archak (who spread fake rumors of closing down to defame the club and kill the fan base) Quiet :P
