@soccerlover He was their highest goal scorer last season and was instrumental in their survival from relegation. People were laughing at him like this last season also but he proved them wrong.

Ok..So Sporting is destined to fight relegation this year also!  ;)

What is amusing is when the same Odafa used to play for Kolkata Team, he was being bullied by many in this forum - being selfish, over priced etc! and he now becomes the saviour! Can we pls stop being double standard ?

Odafa is one of the best forward in Indian standard. In any team he is the highest scorer may be that club win or lose the match. But remember football is a team game. In Mohun Bagan also he score more than the number of match he played. Now why Mohun Bagan won't get success as that time other player standard was not good. In every game we saw at least 4 opponent player mark him.

Forum is not one person. It is amalgamation of views of different people. He is neither saviour nor bullied, so the question of double standard doesnt arise.
I-League is so competitive that 4-5 teams were fighting relegation. You cannot make fun of any player when he is the highest goal getter for them.

So by that logic (of being a highest goal scorer for a team), Dudu shouldn't have been without a team this year so far (second highest scorer of EB ) or for that matter clubs would have lured Josimar to join their ranks(probably the highest scorer for Mumbai FC and amongst the top 5 goal scorer in the I League this year)!

Dudu case is different as he demand more than 1 core from EB which denied by club. Other club don't spent so much money. Now it is a news that he may join MB for Calcutta league with less amount .
