Any idea of 4th foreigner of Mumbai FC?? I heard they signed someone pretty good but kept under wraps for some reason?? He could make or break MFC chance of finishing in top5 (6th being out best finish)
I don't know if this is the right thread forthis question, but I had to ask it. Why do the clubs play in I-League if there is no financial return? Why invest 5-10 crores every year knowing that there is no guarantee for returns. I-League Clubs don't get money out of Title Sponsorships or Broadcasting deals. Their only source of revenues is from gate receipts, which I think only Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Shillong Lajong get significant amount from. The rest clubs play in front of empty stands. (BFC's average attendance was 8000 last season and Mumbai FC's home ground has 5000 capacity). Most of the club's shirt sponsorship comes from their Parent Company. Only Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Shillong Lajong have proper shirt sponsors. So, whats in it for these clubs to play in I-League?
