The AIFF ELITE academy of India? Nah, almost all of them has no senior club level experience. An U23 team makes more sense, and it could be a chacne to give players less worked in the ISL, but it is too early to say who those will be.
Personally, I would chose the likes of Balwant, Semboi, Boithang, Mehta, Augustin, Anas, and another chance fro Brandon alongside other U23 players.
@shankar They did the same when last time SAFF Cup was held in India. JLN Stadium at Delhi. They could have given some games to Calicut which has a good stadium. I am happy that Trivandrum is getting some Football action after a long time. Can anybody from Kerala clarify naming issues. Thiruvananthpuram is the official name yet everywhere Trivandrum is used. When did they name it The Sports Hub? Its name was I think IL&FS and Karyavottam Stadium etc. Sometimes they used Trivandrum International stadium, sometimes even Kerala stadium.
The stadium has not been named yet. IL&FS, the builder is looking to sell the naming rights to a sponsor, mostly later this year when the club house is complete.
As for the city's name, only Malayalis can pronounce 'Thiruvananthapuram' properly. Hence, the name given by the British 'Trivandrum' is more commonly used by people outside the state. Among Malayalis, 'Thiruvananthapuram' is more commonly used.
