If he does go, he deserves a better gig than Malaysia. Maybe go to Australia or back to England, he had offers apparently from some Football League clubs.
Ya. In Malaysia he would be almost a nobody. In India he has gained great credibility. An ideal progression for him would be India NT coach. He also has fair idea about Indian players and has a good support team with him. That could help him bring good results for India NT. And then he could move to some other country
Why join the India national team? He would be insulted. ISL means he barely has time with players, would have to plan on the rush, we are almost out of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the SAFF Cup will be a mess.
Perhaps after this round of qualification and if we still have a chance of getting into the Asian Cup qualifiers via a play-off then we can get him in but until then there is no point... for him at least.
