Nathan Hall was sacked in Bangladesh in a month and now he is in a Vanatu League club. And Papas is in a Victoria Premier League club. How are any of these better than I-League? I think I should rephrase my question, did any foreign coach post his India stint got a career upswing?
Hall took that Venuatu club to the OFC Champions League Final. He was a game away from qualifying them for the FIFA Club World Cup. Papas almost managed to get his side to the FFA Cup semi-finals. Nothing amazing but not bad after the stints they had in India.
I don't think Des has done much since India. Joe is still 50/50 on whether he actually did manage India or not and Zoran... South Sudan for a bit.
He arrived at Oakleigh Cannons mid-way through the season from Miron. They were already in the relegation zone and performing badly, way below expectations with them. In the end, with some reshuffling, he managed to go 6-3-9 in the league, which, while not steller, earned him nothing but praise from people down there.
His main focus was on the FFA Cup and avoiding relegation. I think he did decent at both goals.
