It was gaffer but that was known from last year. Even East Bengal and Mohun Bagan were able to keep players till after the derby last season.

Only EB kept players not MB as such. What about players like Chhetri who are on loan from isl to BFC? Will they be released to play AFC Cup quarters?

Why not? Quarters are not until September and the ISL does not start until October. Really becomes a problem if they make the next round and final.

It would be weird for an I-League club to MAKE the final while ISL is going on, let alone win it. I could see IMG-Reliance making the achievement of winning the AFC Cup seem like nothing.

So there will be a Draw to determine QF opponents for Bengaluru FC. They have a strong chance to reach SemiFinals if they draw against Tampines Rovers.
BFC and MB will feature in next year AFC Cup also. They need to decide on framework that how AFC Cup and ISL can coexist together.
