Read my post again. The Dana Cup team from Kolkata are kids of sex workers and many such teams of non-club players have played in these tournaments abroad before. Its not a first time, DD isnt doing anything significant, infact, being an ISL club (rich club) its a fucking pathetic attempt to youth football development.
Exactly what EBPride said, this is nothing special at all. Nice to see something but honestly, something they should do regardless and I still say they are "underperforming" youth wise.
Read my post again. I'm only talking about players being scouted specifically from Subroto Cup who got the opportunity to play. Has someone been previously scouted from Subroto cup to play in such tournaments? I don't think so. There may be nothing special in this. Agreed.
Many I-League players have played in the Subroto Cup before and probably went on to play in special tournaments, maybe not Gorthia or whatever but still special.
Well, I believe this is like the 3rd or 4th time they announced their academy. Also, it is July, wasn't their "women's academy" supposed to start this summer?
I think that should be all that should be said about this "academy" stuff.

"Malouda will return to his Indian club Delhi Dynamos after ending his loan deal," Wadi Degla announced in a statement via its official Facebook page.
"He delivered outstanding performances with the club scoring three goals and assisting on another eight in 16 matches," the club added.
