Just two months ago, Ashley Westwood was incharge of Bengaluru FC which lost to Lao Toyota FC 1-2 at the same stadium. Many players of Lao Toyota played today in the national team.
Winning an away Playoff is worthy of appreciation, however scrappy it may look.
Just look at the fucking pitch. Even a simple pass had a massive bobble. What do you expect? Even Barcelona would struggle with some passes and plays on this pitch.
Good victory for India, just need to keep it up for the second leg.
Designer pitches! Our players are used to playing in these turfs only back at home (not considering Kanteerava!) Give them a good deck, they would struggle/lose. Maybe today's win was b'cos of the pitch!
It looks like Laos has won only one international away match throughout their entire footballing history, which goes back to 1969 when they beat Thailand in Thai King's Cup. That would mean now Laos needs a miracle of half-century to advance.
It's so frustrating to see us struggling to score against a team like laos man They are probably the 2nd worst team in this competition but u r right a win is a win I hope we play with more confidence and perform to our full potential in the next game
Like someone said win is a win let's give them some credit. Lets see what approach Stephen goes in 2nd leg. Hope it's not stupid defensive draw approach with 1-0 lead.

Atleast there is a probability of a stalemate - if not a win (which is rarely heard these days about our NTs)!
