@mohammed_87hassan ; Was in the stadium today, view looks good from the stands.
During ISL 1, I watched Delhi game in JN stadium, it was a horrible view. The stands are so far from the pitch that we couldn't even make out the player's jersey number. Had to watch the game on LED screen for better viewing. Delhi Dynamos should shift to Ambedkar stadium asap.
As for the attendance issue at Andheri sports complex, it was completely full. Infact overcapacity. Some seats were empty on one side but that was due to dugouts blocking the view. People were standing both behind as well as in front of the middle seats to get a better view.
As far as game is concerned, Mumbai defence was shit. Nothing too special about the contest. Average game.
Jacki was lively, Sony was ok but Diego Forlan is a waste of money. He was uninterested in the game, not at all putting pressure on Goa defence. Didn't even test the keeper with his freekicks. Maybe he has fitness issues as he just returned from injury, but why should an unfit player start. Lord Robin was his usual self, being arrogant for no reason. The goal was good, scored off a difficult volley but made possible by a sleeping Mumbai defence.
Also, a lot of support for FC Goa as Goans settled in Mumbai were there in large numbers.
Very good atmosphere overall, good for football.
Will talk about the stupid antics of the event management firm later as this post is already too long to read.
“I didn’t have a second thought as regards coming here and coaching in India. India has a good opportunity to grow in the right way. It is very important that we have good coaches as well as foreign players here because in a few years it will be a very competitive league. Hence, I didn’t have to think much about making this decision.”
“The difference between the ISL and La Liga or Serie A… there is a considerable difference. But the positive thing is that the ISL is growing very well. So, a few years down the line, it will be on the same level as the Serie A, La Liga or any other league,” the former Juventus and Barcelona star added.
@ArsenalFan700 .. Thanks for the abuses. That shows I've riled you which is an achievement. @red_devil ... NEUFC Sponsorships were not 19 CR trust me. The highest a team raised from sponsorship was 14 CR by ATK. I feel you may be wrong but please double check. @ArsenalFan700 .. I feel it would be unfair to take the attendances shown on the ISL website as the gospel truth because we all know that they are rigged.
@lokeshchandaindia Read the post carefully, I mentioned 19 cr revenue .... sponsorship is just a part of the revenue. yes, ATK got the maximum number of sponsors, and got Rs 14 crores sponsorship. On the other hand Northeast had much lesser number of sponsors, infact even less than that of other teams like Kerala, Goa. They are the only team to have a 10 cr+ sponsorship apart from CFC. ATK and DD. Once again, proving my point, the value of the sponsorship is more important.
How you did not know you riled me since you showed up here is impressive.
I don't just take those attendances, I also use my eyes when I watch games and also what other users say here who have been to games. But wait, they must be paid off by IMG-Reliance.
I don't mind discussing the attendance problems but really when they seem right. Chennaiyin's problem for example is something to talk about cause it is a bit off for them, especially as the reigning champions and we hear things about how they have not really marketed the team and stuff.
But saying things like how the numbers on the ISL website are false... come on. They most likely are false, they may over inflate the number somehow, and that is done around the world, but even if the 32,000 number for NorthEast United is wrong, it still looked like a full crowd to me! Same with Mumbai and same for some other places.
And honestly, if those numbers on the ISL were really false and lies, then why would they say that Delhi Dynamos lost 10,000 fans in one game! Wouldn't they want to inflate that number?
Many people will simply stop following the league if the Indians don't perform well on the pitch. Sunil was top scorer for fair amount of time last time, where are the others. Even Lord played well at Delhi. Where are the Indians???? I have gone through all the three match week threads and I have seen mostly Kean Lewis and Jerry. And the red card guys. Where are the others???
The Indians are struggling in ISL this year. Md Rafi for Kerala has been crap.Jeje has been in the oblivion for Chennai. Same as for Romeo and mandar for Goa. Arata hasnt been as influential for Pune as he was at ATK. Its an eye opener for those who thought that ISL is a stroll in the park and an "Easy" league compared to our I league. I guess @ArsenalFan700 can give more insight if some Indian caught his eye.
Most ISL team are having obvious strategy, out of 5 (defender + goalkeeper) 3 will be Indian. Out of remaining 2 one central midfielder and 1 winger or striker .
So not many Indian players are scoring goals. They are more defending goals that scoring

Let the franchises and IMG Rel care about those.
We are here to watch, support and enjoy Indian football not discuss your petty and dodgy numbers.
