i have been saying the samething that ISL is somehow missing the connection especially this season.i am not even checking scores,they need consistency and identification to attach viewers and also have break days if they dont already have it.
in the middle of the season lets have all stars kind of match with all indians vs all foreigners. boost the game

In an already packed schedule, with teams suffering from injuries and coaches complaining, having the All star match will be a bad idea.
Even if it is held, the teams will release the fringe players,which will make a mockery of the"ALL STAR" game.
If the actual stars are released, the Foreigners will trash the Indians as per the current Stats , which again will show Indian Football in bad light.
If they organise ISL only on weekends, how will Star Sports cope up with that? They show lot of stuff- from European Football to Hockey to Kabaddi to International Cricket. It will end up hurting each other.

@munna219777 amidst all claims of low trps of IPL and decreased interest, IPL is about to get a mega deal for broadcast. Reports suggest that the next 10 years broadcast deal could go as high as Rs1600 crores, that's almost double of what Sony paid. Already 18 tenders sold by BCCI for IPL media rights. Besides, IPL this year occured just after the t20 world cup, it was bound to get low trps. Not surprised.
