How the hell Anwar gets in? He has let in so many goals in Mohun Bagan!!! Does Savio even watch I-league games? Now I seriously feel we need paid selectors who will watch the matches and take notes

Goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (East Bengal).

Defenders: Sameer Naik (Dempo SC), Anwar Ali, Kingsukh Debnath (Mohun Bagan)

Midfielders: Anthony Pereira, Manish Mathani (Mohun Bagan)

Forwards: CS Sabeeth (Pailan Arrows), Joaquim Abranches (Dempo SC).

There I named 8 who should not be there.
as we might be naming a squad of 23,we might keep one player and that i would guess will be one of the defenders as we may feel a bit short in that department as we will be left with very less options with removal of 3 defenders

Fine. Keep Kingsukh Debnath. At least he has not embarresed himself internationally yet

Kingshuk has potential..he has been one of the finds of this season...has established his place in MB defence..if u see MB scorelines in last few games, then u know that Anwar-Kingshuk combo is working...he can be a sub, he is young can be developed

Indian team's trip to Rovers falls through

India have dropped plans to visit and train at Blackburn Rovers and will instead settle for a training stint in Dubai ahead of the all-important AFC Challenge Cup.

The relegation-threatened Premier League side had invited the Indian team to travel to Lancashire and use their training facilities.

But with Rovers experiencing turbulence in the last couple of months, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) have opted to continue with their training stint in Dubai.

"Blackburn have told us that this is not the right time to visit the club. They are going through some management problems at the moment," said AIFF general secretary Kushal Das.

With the Blackburn schedule now struck of the list, the Indian team has been left with no choice but to continue training in Dubai where a couple of friendlies have been lined up. While the first friendly will be against Oman on February 23, the AIFF has managed to convince Azerbaijan to play a friendly on February 28.

"Both friendlies will be played in Dubai. The facilities in Dubai facilitate good football. Prior to an important tournament like the Challenge Cup, such exposure tours and friendlies will do us a world of good," said India coach Savio Medeira.

Azerbaijan finished second from bottom in their Euro 2012 qualifying group that also included the likes of Germany, Turkey, Belgium, Austria and Kazakhstan. But trained by renowned German coach Berti Vogts.

Sadly that is what will happen but they could change it. They have the money so use it.
• really don't understand how people hav been doubting d selection of kingshuk debnath...........
he has been d most consistent defender in i-league 2011-12. I know mmb has let in many goals but its becoz there is no foreigner in d mmb defence. I-league teams r dependent on foreigners. This is proved by d pailan arrows.......remove ranty n koko frm dempo, odafa frm bagan, opara, penn n tolgay frm east bengal, beto,nd opara n henry frm churchill, moga frm sporting clube, yakubu n bello razzak frm prayag, john meneyongor frm lajong, lucio, sueka frm salgaocar.....etc.....then we will find all d teams will perform almost like d pailan arrows.
