This so called Corporate clubs cannot even afford 75000 rupees rent and want discount!!! unbelievable. Then they want direct entry and talk about creating infrastructure. One day these Corporate clubs will ask players to play barefoot in Banian, underwear to save money.
It will be interesting to see if match (CCFC vs MB) take place because of Jallikattu protests in Tamil Nadu.
Chennai City and Minerva Punjab are not what anyone means when we say "corporate clubs". Bengaluru FC, Mumbai Tigers (Dodsal), Bharat FC, and DSK are those. CCFC and MPFC are just clubs brought in for a desperate attempt to save face.
3 teams are playing for championship this year, while the rest 6 teams are fighting for relegation!
This means either a) the fight for relegation this year is too tough(never ever in the history of the league, so many teams have fought to stave off relegation)! or b) shows how royally the federation has screwed up the prospect of spreading the game across the country - as this kinda situation would only lead to closure of more team end of this year (which is what the goal is though) especially in the year when we would host U-17 WC.
BFC looks scrappy so far against EB. Lacks the cohesion and the joker Khabra is screwing up any move involving him. Sunil looks subdued and so does Lyngdoh.
