Yeah all Eredivisie clubs are taking a look but you would be surprised how much they are offering for this 18 year old. http://www.football-oranje.com/ruben-van-bommel-eredivisies-most-wanted/ Avg salary is around 1Cr. If ISL clubs can take a gamble on young players the profits can only improve. They need to get creative and take risks. If any ISL clubs double or triple his salary he might change his mind. If we knock at 10 maybe one of them will get greedy and might accept making the move.
I read an article about him that says he’s not even interested in a move abroad(big Leagues) so even if you pay him 15-20 crores he not going to come here and fuck up his career

Well that kid Steven Mendoza came to I dia at the age of 22 and did phenomenally well and then went on to French Ligue 2 and not to Santos 8n Brazil. His career was not ficked. Similarly EB signed that kid Bright something (can't remember his name). He was Nigerian origin but used to play in England. Again he did well and moved on. Point is, these examples show that if clubs take a gamble on promising young talents from smaller leagues, it may work out for both the club as well as the player. And there are talented kids to be found in Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Croatia, Slovakia etc. The clubs just need to spend a bit on proper scouting network. Hire good scouts or have partnerships with local clubs in these countries. But I guess all this is only possible when ISL clubs become financially sustainable.
Their wages are like 90 lakh. We need to double their salaries and bring them to India on multi year contract. Our ISL teams would struggle to compete with regional 4th division german league.
I think only English 2nd division clubs offers excellent wages. We are seeing lot of Spanish 2nd , 3rd & 4th division in ISL.. Similarly ISL clubs should knock German, Italy, French 2nd & 3rd division players along with Brazilian, Dutch & other European league players.. Scouting from African & American leagues is little tricky for ISL agents. I don't think any top division young player would ruin his career by playing in India. Since there is no salary cap, ISL clubs like Mumbai, Mohun Bagan, Goa, BFC , E.B & JFC can definitely offer good salaries to these players.
Our players are slow-paced and most of the goals scored by ISL NT players can be scored by some random I-League striker. ISL & I league clubs will improve only with good quality foreign players.
Adam Bergmark has hit the prime and has been a top player in Swedish second division. He currently makes 53000 Euros. A mediocre Indian player earns more than 45 lakhs. I hope clubs like NEUFC or Chennayin can take a look at him.
