Anto isn't much of a loss. Bengaluru FC didn't get a pick until Round 3 and needed to get the goalkeeper sorted out so they picked Lalthuammawia Ralte. Rino Anto was picked by Kerala Blasters in the same round so BFC never had a chance really. Shankar was selected in Round 6, before BFC's Round 6 pick. In Round 5 BFC picked up Khabra. Maybe because of his experience, versatility... idk, but they went with Khabra before Shankar.
Fanai was picked in Round 4 by Pune City after BFC picked Bheke for the RB spot.
We keep on saying that he is only this year old , he is only that year old but form is a thing also . Sometimes a player goes out of form and because he was hyped earlier ,he is given a chance , well! What benefit is it to give chance to an out of form player . It is loss for both sides. Now Liston is in form scoring goals showing good temperament and we say he will get chance when he will be ready . I think a player's form Tell when he is ready or not not the age .
Both Rino and Fanai are coming off a long injury.. Both have not played in last one year. Too much of a risk to sign them and that too on just a one year deal. Abd also next season one will be 30 and another 29.
Khabra as a right back was a success in BFC last year. Not much goal comes from his side. Also BFC attacked more from right side .Khabras presents also hep for that.Last year left back side was more weak .Ninety nine percent goals conceded from left side. Nishu is more a left winger than a full back. Attack wise he is good but his defending needs to improve a lot
@debarghya89: You are saying this based on the premise that 8 foreigners will be allowed to be signed by I-League clubs, I presume. But that might not work out...according to some reports, unconfirmed of course, like this one (http://khaboronline.com/news/sports/aiff-proposed-6-foreign-footballers-will-be-registered-by-the-clubs-in-ileague/), the Federation is mulling the proposition of allowing the clubs to sign only 6 foreigners, two of them in the Asian quota. Only 5 of them can take the field, one of them has to be from the Asian quota.
