ATK lacks decent striker I agree, but with Keane, Baker, Jayesh, Ashu back in team after 3-4 matches I see them in SFs at least. They will hardly lose matches I think. Narrow wins and draws will take them through.
Thing i noted regarding Barbatov were 1) he hardly tried to make a run for ball ( probably age factor ) 2) shy from making tackles ( preventing himself from risking injury) 3) wasnt playing on the given position and roaming aimlessly
although on few ocassions he did make some quick good passes and some lobbed passes.
Any club which offers a contract to a retired player whose playing in veteran's matches loses credibility in the eyes of that particular player.. I'm sure the moment he got the offer he lost all respect for the club & league & just took it as a paid holiday where his face is of more value than his legs
@pradeep_jain_23: Unfortunately, the ISL honchos do not appreciate the sentiments of the public...as it is, Salman Khan looks like a geriatric Terminator
Elsewhere, Subhash Bhowmick has said that he had predicted earlier (before the first ISL) that the ISL would be a circus...after seeing the first match of ISL Season 4, he says that he was wrong...even a circus requires individual skills and collective strength which he did not find in this match...he said that he could not find a player even of the class of Al Amna in the entire match, could not find any of teams making a good move...he could not understand the coaching styles of the coaches, both students of Sir Alex Ferguson...if a boring football match has to presented as attractive by bringing in the likes of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and our football has to be sold in such a manner, then it is high time for PP to resign and Nita Ambani to be nominated as AIFF President

Dear ISL, can we please STOP opening ceremonies. Thanks
For a tournament that boasts of the tagline "Future hai Football", the performance by Salman Khan appeared nothing more than a mockery.
