    @DX ; @Ratul
    I am not denying that, just saying what AFC wants. ISL winner slot in AFC Cup is still subject to the condition that all the teams of ISL fulfill Licensing criteria by 2018 othewise no.  As of now, other then BFC, no ISL franchise fulfills AFC criteria, not even national.  Until and unless they do it, their slot in AFC Cup will be questionable.

    http://www.the-afc.com/media-releases/afc-competitions-committee’s-decisions-published

    Following a recommendation from the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the Competitions Committee gave special dispensation for the Indian Super League (ISL) which will be played simultaneously with the I-League for six or seven months in 2017 and 2018 as a temporary short-term ‘bridging solution’.

    AIFF’s recommendation to the AFC was that the ISL will replace the Federation Cup, whose winner is currently allocated an AFC Cup preliminary stage place.

    Therefore, the Committee approved that the I-League champions will play in the AFC Champions League Play-off round and the ISL Champions will play in the AFC Cup preliminary stage – as long as all clubs adhere to the AFC rules and regulations, particularly club licensing, from 2018.

    The situation will be reviewed on a yearly basis with conditions which, in addition to adherence to club licensing regulations, include promotion, production, a player allocation system and the following of the Road Map agreed between the AFC and Indian football stakeholders at a meeting in Kuala Lumpur on June 7, 2017.

    @sam Yes but they do not have National License either. Few days ago, AIFF came up with a statement that ISL Franchises do not require National License either as they are running this year in a special window.

    BFC, even though ISL Franchise now, can play in AFC Cup 2018 because slot came due to winning Federation Cup 2017 which had all teams complying with AFC criteria (AFC or National).
    Even if BFC wins ISL 2017-18, its slot in AFC Cup 2019 will be subject to the condition that all the franchise of ISL 2017-18 satisfy (AFC or National) criteria by 2018 otherwise no.

    Lets hope so. Easier then why not done for so many years !!! What is stopping them this year?  Unless and until they do it, there will be a question mark.

    National License can't be awarded if all the clubs are owned by 1 owner.

    Financial Audit comes into the official domain even with National criteria.

    If it were that easy, they would have done it 'easily'. They do have ownership issues, audits are not done, addresses are not there, and other issues.

    Of course, these are not issues which a little money, spent 'properly' -- in AFC or in FIFA -- cannot fix.

    @DX - Kanteerava is 28k.  for the football quality we see 17K is more :).  BFC started from 6k to 17k in the fifth season.

    I feel 8 PM kickoff is too late considering it is Sunday night.
