Yes, community based clubs are more in mental comfort zone. Sponsors will come and go. Only problem with them is slow decision making and office-bearers not enlightened enough.
I don't know whether Gokulam Group has real passion or not. Heard that they are not paying their players well... they also owns Viva Chennai in CFA League I Think. one thing am sure is They won't face a single issue financially in near future.Because that's how Politics and Buissiness work in Kerala (try searching SNDP in Google )...Only issue is whether they are ready to invest or not.
Community based clubs is not working that well... Kerala is home to a number of highly professional Co-operative institutions.. but its not working in football...I personally know few failed attempts to form coOperative football clubs... But FC Kerala is trying their best to form one and they are now exploring their possibilities with the support of malayalis of middle East.. and they will play Second Division this season..!!
@Deb_Ban There was one Bengali company Chirag Computers which was sponsoring United SC and then came to kerala for Viva Kerala. Viva was named as Chirag United Club kerala. That company is still alive?? in Football sponsorship?
