AIFF’s Club Licensing Committee — “First Instance Body” met at Football House, New Delhi to evaluate and decide the applications made by license applicants for AFC Club Competitions 2017-18.
8 clubs, namely, Aizawl FC, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Bengaluru FC, Shillong Lajong FC, Churchill Brothers, Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab FC, applied for the AFC and National Licenses for the season 2017-18.
After going through the reports, the members of the committee unanimously decided to award the AFC License to Aizawl FC and Bengaluru FC only.
Kill 'em, just kill 'em, the clubs that didn't pass the licensing and are foolish enough not to close down voluntarily. Now is the time! Take the ones in ISL who passed. Makes the job much easier, isn't it?
@munna219777 MB failed in pro license coach spot. EB failed in stadium as they have declared barasat as there stadium. AFC has declared guwahati as there home.
"The ISL clubs need not apply for AFC or national license for this year,
as they have been given a one-year exemption. From the following
season, anybody hoping to compete in domestic or international
competition will have to fulfill both national and AFC club licensing
criteria," AIFF general secretary Kushal Das told ESPN.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will decide on the fixture list
for the 2017-18 I-League season over the next couple of days, with the
country's officially-recognised top-division league likely to kick off
on November 25.
