This is where I am worried when it comes to Indian football. The structure for Indian football has never been good, even before ISL. Before ISL we had a rubbish I-League and the I-League 2nd Division was played between mainly rubbish clubs with a sprinkle of ambitious sides.
I like that the ISL could turn out well but what about below it? India needs leagues below the ISL if it is to flourish!
But was any evaluation done on the teams that were selected? Did they check the financial background of the selected teams, their past performances? How do we know that the selected ones ate not one season wonders like Guwahati FC?
I-League website is showing lot of fixtures of U-18, U-15, U-13 youth leagues. but sadly no information on I-League. Probably the only federation in the world with complete focus on junior Age groups but no clue on Senior Level.

It's better that such clubs aren't allowed in 2nd div
