I think we should have a separate thread for this event. Currently India is the only one put a bid or Expressed interest in hosting.
Deadline to submit bid is November 1st 2017.

It is weird for me how the host selection for 2017 was announced in 2013, 4 years before, while this one might potentially be announced a year before.

I hope we get it. if we get it then we can bid for 2030 FIFA Senior WC.

2030 is for Uruguay/Argentina and Paraguay (apparently joining that bid).

It will probably be this:

2026: United States/Canada/Mexico

2030: Uruguay/Argentina/Paraguay

2034: India (potentially) but I fear we could get competition from around Asia. China will certainly be in the running while if Qatar 2022 goes well, we could see another Middle Eastern nation try for the World Cup.

Thankfully, we are a shoe-in for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup if we host successful U17 and U20 World Cups.

Holding junior Wc is better and less fussy. Not sure why we need to bid a senior Wc, It's proven that each WC bid country has had problems before, during and after the WC.

Let someone else take it.

Happy for just the WC u-20 alone as it helps our current invested batch further development.

Well for the World Cup, we would already be sort of set with some stadiums just needing additional upgrades such as Salt Lake Stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Delhi), Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Kochi), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Chennai) etc. We could also add Greenfield Stadium.

We would definitely need new stadiums in Goa, Mumbai, potentially Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

Instead of WC, we should target Asia Cup after junior level WCs.

we should bid for 2034 WC if we can't qualify directly. that the only way we can see our team in senior WC before our death (if we live till then)

We should remember by 2034 Indian economy will be one of biggest and india will be a raising power n a super power in Asia. so if aiff bid for 2034 govt will get involved n give full support to the even. I think our only competition will be Chinese bid.
