Asian Teams did better in 2002 to 2010 period in World Cups. Somehow this time the squads look weaker then previous decade. Japan South Korea Australia cant say now that their 2018 team is best ever.
Australia and South Korea have considerably gone down in last few years. Both of them struggled in WC qualifiers. People argued that they were going under a transition phase but I honestly dont see the same quality now.
Japan still retains the same star players but most of players have either aged(Honda) or fared below expectations(Kagawa) in last 2-3 years.
