Agree with the first part of your statement...the Maidan culture of poaching players from I-League winning clubs instead of giving chance to homegrown talent does not augur well for the Big Two of Kolkata football...Bali has been a complete flop, particularly in these muddy, slushy conditions...Joby Justin is not suitable for I-League Dagar had been playing very well until the Derby...made some very smart saves till then...he did not look comfortable in the Derby...it did not help that he did not get much support from the defence...Ubaid had played a lot of matches last year and performed very poorly
EB played very bad alright, but Peerless were pathetic. EB were at least weaving 3-4 passes between themselves, Peerless did not show any intent or combinational play, defence were playing aimless hoofball, players were not snatching and were not going for 50-50 balls. Only doggedness from Kromah got them the lead. This listless team should have been spunk by EB by at least 3-4 goals. I don't know how EB lost.
Fun fact: After Acosta joined, EB took 4 goals in 2 matches. Not a ground shaking addition, that.
