@thebeautifulgame Yeah but I think CCFC were one of the favorites to win at the start of season due to high salaries paid by them. Josep Kaplan getting 1.25 crore salary, and their 5 Spanish imports getting 1 crore per season as per their new 4 year contract
@goalkeepar Are you dumb? I said as per new contract, before new contract each foreigner was paid 40 lakh but after new contract they are getting 1 crore salary
@sam: Depending on the coach per se is not wrong. What is debatable is on what basis the coach chooses his foreign players...in the case of Alejandro, as far as I know, he recommended these players based on his knowledge of them quite a few years back...not sure whether their recent performance (before joining EB) was taken into account. On the other hand, Jordi Villa had seen them playing in the Spanish leagues just before he signed them...and their performances, particularly Manzi's, was very impressive...he did not go by the pedigree of the clubs (most of them were third/fourth division clubs and not part of La Liga) or the fame of the players
East Bengal's pathetic performance completely spoiled the whole mood...thought I would relish the victory of my favourite club before settling down for the India-Bahrain match
The curtain-raiser has turned out to be a damp squib...hope the main show would be much sweeter!!
As I said, CCFC went as a firm favourite in this match. EB doesn't have anyone to hold and pass the ball in the midfield. The full backs were shit along with Dovale. Also the referring was terrible as usual.
