Today is one of the best days for Indian Football.. The early second goal in the 2nd half shocked the thais.. They must have thought of winning this game but were disappointed with the 2nd goal.. We couldnt see effective passing game of Thailand thereafter.. May be it was good for India that we played Thailand in the first game.. Matches against Uae and bahrain wont be easy... But definitely we will give them strong fight...So happy and proud to be an Indian football fan
If any one following Asian football will check the result today and will be shocked to see this result and will be wondering when onwards India started playing football !!!
The best player for me today was ashique involved in every goal he just silenced his critics including me with today's display... And it's reality if u are playing for your club badly that doesn't mean u will play also bad for the national team...!!! Very happy rare kind of happiness that Indian fan can get....!!!
The former Spanish international has tipped Qatar to win the tournament.
Spanish midfield maestro and former FC Barcelona man, Xavi recently came out with his AFC Asian Cup predictions on Qatari news channel Al Kass. The tournament starts on 5th January, with the hosts United Arab Emirates taking on Bahrain.
Xavi who has been a household name in Spain over the years shifted to Qatari side Al Sadd in the twilight of his career. However, he has been pretty decent for his new side scoring 20 goals in 74 appearances.
Xavi's prediction did stir a lot of buzz on social media, especially among Indian football fans. The Spanish World Cup winner has predicted the Indian national team to finish bottom of their group with the UAE and Thailand qualifying and Bahrain ending up in third position.
What a run Sunil made for the 2nd goal! Just the reason he deserves to be the second highest goal scorer in the world. Hope this team stays grounded and aims higher. Anything is possible this time. Hats off to the splendid performance of all the players and dedicated effort of the coaching staff.
