But I don't want it to be western feminism. More of our Indian kind of feminism. We want more of Durga , Kali and Saraswati than Barkhas, Shailas and mamta-mayas
Your guide to the brilliant AFC Asian Cup fan zone at A’l Bahar on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche
Live screening, entertainment, music and street food are on offer
We’re right in the thick of the AFC Asian Cup and if you’re looking for somewhere to watch it then A’l Bahar has you covered.
The dedicated City Fan Zone on the Corniche will show all of the games live on the big screen, and there’ll also be plenty of entertainment on offer, if the game gets a bit slow.
Expect more than 50 performances from singers to dancers, as well as interactive football activities such as freestyling. There’ll also roaming street entertainers including jugglers, stilt walkers, and acrobats, as well as enjoy interactive inflatable games at the beach.
And all of that frivolity is bound to work up an appetite. Delicious bites from around the world are available at A’l Bahar’s diverse collection of food outlets such as Miyabi Sushi, Stuffed Burger, Marl’s Organic, and many more, giving the pie chips and Bovril combo of matches past a good run for their money.
The City Fan Zone is open from 1pm until midnight on Saturday February 2 and entrance is free. For full fixtures go to www.afcasiancup2019.com.
India had 3 shots on target compared to UAE's 2...If Ashique and Chhetri had not missed those early chances and Udanta and Jhingan had not hit the crossbar, we could have come away with a positive result
