Kings cup will be a good opportunity for stimac to assess the overall playing standard of the national team players and where to improve before WCQ in september. Ideally, after returning from Kings cup, the coach should hold a new 1 month camp starting 2nd week of June to 2nd week of July in Odisha. This camp will serve twin purposes of preparing for the Inter continental cup in july as well as allow stimac to scout his final 23 players for WCQ. Stimac should call up the best 55 players from across the country (5 players for each position like top 5 RBs, LWs etc) based on their performance in last season's isl, i league and i league second division. These 55 should be divided in 5 teams, each captained by one NT senior player (one headed by chettri, other by GSS, one by Jhingan etc). Each team should be a mix of few established NT players, some new talents and a few youngsters. Then Stimac should make these 5 teams play each in round robin fashion over the one month. Morning training session could be a general training for all 55 players while in the evening the teams can play 90 minute matches against each other. Over the course of camp, depending upon performance, coach xan chop and change the teams, mixing the players. This can go on till Stimac finds his finall 11 among these 55. This plan has certain advantages - more players will get a chance to prove tgemselves before national coach, Stimac will get to know more talents, players after playing with each other consistently will develop better understanding, players will be in peak physical and match fitness by the end of the camp and stimac can assess the leadership shown by 5 captains to finally decide on NT captain. This is a wishlist but i hope it happens.
