I think the camp is starting from 19th August as per reports. Though to me it is plain stupidity. For a home game of such huge magnitude against a difficult opponent in Oman and considering that Stimac has still not finalized his preferred starting 11, it seems almost moronical not to have a longer camp for national team probables. They could have easily started the camp in the starting of August itself and then played some practice matches among themselves or local teams so Stimac can select his best 22 players. And the venue of national camp is in Goa instead of being in either Gowahati or Kolkata where the match against oman will take place. Training in these venues would have acclimatized the players to local hot and humid conditions which will definitely have a say in the outcome of the match. Its like we deliberately don't want to take advantage of playing at home soil. Oman might be a better team than us but we have some very good players this time (even without the inclusion of Soosairaj) and had we planned our approach to this game correctly while taking advantage of our home conditions, I think we had a good chance of winning the match. Now not so sure.
