Whats the use of Fifa allowing Hong Kong to field a separate team when its clearly part of China (especially with the 'No nonsense' attitude of china towards any self rule by Hong Kong)? It just takes up an extra spot in the qualifiers.

FIFA membership is different then Official country status.

In Olympic Games, United Kingdom participates.

In World Cup Qualifiers,  England Scotland Wales North ireland are separate teams.

Guam is a part of USA, still it is a separate FIFA member.
