Pranoy was very effective in Constantine's style of kicking the ball out. But the problem is more you kick the ball out more it comes back to you. Pranoy is a terrible passer. And with what we saw today in Stimac's style of play, it looks like he will soon become a bench player

Nguyen Anh Duc (aged 33) of vietnam national football team came out of retirement because Vietnam lacked a good striker.  He has played in Kings Cup

Pranoy should be out but Didika is definitely not the right replacement for him, he is way past his prime.

As expected, India started the game in Croatia type formation. But  lack of match practice and limited technical ability of less experienced players cost India, especially in the first half.

Typical Croatia style is to have Compact Defense at the start and then spread out later on in 2nd half when opposition is tiring. But today, they were spread out and panicked when Curacao attacked in the first half only. So many gaps were present in defensive line which were well exploited by Curacao. At times, I felt like them clearing the danger with Long Ball !!

On few occassions, limited technical ability of Subhasis Bose and Chhangte was exposed. Our players were a tad late in releasing the ball, took an extra touch in controlling the ball. Udanta cant finish. Few corner kicks taken were very very poor. I think that Raynier and Udanta were the culprits. Later on Sunil Chhetri had to come himself to take corner kick. We barely got any Free Kicks to pressurise opposition.

We should have been much more disciplined in the First Half. We failed to slow down the game at the start.
Coach has to correct lot of things before next game.

Overall a disappointing performance in my opinion.

Yes 4-2-3-1 is old school Croatian stuff . This is what I guessed yesterday and Igor did the same thing today. Of Course he will do what he knows best.

@munna219777: We also have to give credit to the opposition. As @ashindia said, we haven't played as strong a team as Curacao in recent times. Their players were physically imposing and had us by the scruff of our neck in the initial phase of the first half.

The entire defence, not just one or two players, were poor in the first half.

Good that the coach has identified the problems (But our decisions in the final third were not good. When were supposed to shoot, we were passing (and vice versa). There is a long way for us to keep learning.) and hope he addresses them on a war footing.
