Well year 1 the experiment turned out well, the boys held their own and were not in the relegation zone...year 2 - the team was a embarasment to the future of indian football. Lets us see what year 3 will have in store for Palian arrows...

Both those leagues do not do Promotion/Relegation and if Pailan does not get relegated or cant be by rules than that former MLS or A-League coach can work with those kids and get them motivated about playing for a team that cant get relegated.

I mean, there are other ways to motivate the players... player contracts, national team call-ups, other clubs looking at you etc. That is what we need to do with the players, the problem is not skill but mentally the players where in bad shape this season. A coach who knows how to coach players in a team/league like this can really help.

  • well I hope you know I was not joking, hehe. I mean not exactly dont pay them but something like that, There must be more to get the players to play than the worry of relegation.

Well its shd be if u lose ( say lose 3 out of 5) u get a pay cut or some financial penalty if you win u get paid more..if yo finish in the top 10 u get a bonus... thi sshould go fo rthe coach also..

ideally this is ok if the all team players are of a leval standard ..not a few good many bad and some satisfactory players like last year pailian team..
I dont like pay cut idea, come on u cant penalise players for losing...but i like bonus...so basically u can give rewards but penalising players look overboard

palian arrows should work same way as other clubs give long term contracts, sell well perfroming players and put a feeder system in place so that we will find a brand new set of players.

I think that will be the plan. Combine the Elite Academy and Pailan Arrows. Long-term contracts is a must.

If we are going to pit these players against professional teams then we have to treat them like professionals.
